Smaller than expected and we found it a little overpriced considering we went round the entire facilities in just over an hour but it was a nice afternoon out. Super clean too and friendly staff

Średnio. Nie które akwaria ładne, inne średnie. Fok praktycznie nie widać. Drogo. Jedyny plus, że to na foki (i utrzymanie obiektu). Płatność kartą.

Visiting the aquarium was a delightful experience. The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a calming atmosphere filled with the soothing sound of water and colourful tanks brimming with life. The layout was easy to follow, making it suitable for visitors of all ages. Each exhibit was well-designed, allowing close views of the marine creatures while ensuring their habitats were respected.
One of the highlights was the large ocean tank. Watching sharks, rays, seals and schools of fish glide through the water was mesmerising. The glass tunnel that ran through the tank was a magical experience, making you feel as if you were underwater. The dark fish section was equally stunning, with glowing tanks that showcased the floating beauty.
Staff members were friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to answer questions. Their passion for marine life really stood out, especially during the feeding sessions and educational talks. These were not only informative but also made you appreciate the importance of protecting our oceans.
There was even a small play area, which was a great touch for families. The café offered a decent selection of food.
Overall, the aquarium is a fantastic day out. It’s not just entertaining but also a great way to learn about marine life and conservation. Whether you’re a family, a couple, or just someone who loves nature, you’re sure to leave with a sense of wonder. It’s a place I’d happily visit again.

Lovely place, lots of things to look at and very knowledgeable staff. It's probably not a full day experience however great that you can come in and out over the day.

It could be cheaper with how small it is. The Annual prices aren't badly priced if you have kids though and I love the seal hospital.

Great place just won’t take long to get round so ticket lasts all day so a few trips round is great value

Quite small but the talks and seal show are great. Especially good value for money if you live locally and can buy a year pass as you only need to go around 3 times to make it worthwhile. I would recommend to parents of under 3s as children that age go free and you can go with some frequency and they still enjoy it each time.

We always have a fantastic time visiting Tynemouth Aquarium. There are more exhibits than you might expect and the presentations and feedings are always fun. The staff are friendly and the cafe is pretty good.

I took my daughter for her 16th birthday as she had always wanted to go through a tunnel with fish swimming around her! I hadn't expected much as I had read it was pretty small, but I was pleasantly surprised! We both loved it! There's so many different creatures, and who knew we'd find monkeys?! The baby seals in the seal hospital were absolutely gorgeous. A thoroughly great day out, especially as you can wander along the beach, too.

Very cute and interesting for young children. Theres an outdoor picnic area so bring your own food as cafeteria prices are quite expensive

Not much to do for the cost of the visit. They say you can visit as many times as you like on the day you visit but once you've seen it all in 20 mins there is no point in going back. I would suggest the ticket is valid for at least 6 months. To use as many times as you like not just for one visit.

It could be a great day out if staff was more helpful we only just brought a season ticket 3 days ago 169 pounds soon as we visit second time 30th December 2024 11 am .. the coin machines don't work so we lost out an no staff will do refunds claiming the machines are nothing to do with them but yet the machines are in there buisness shop... so it's very sad but we will only use our season tickit for entry an will not spend any money 😢 with your buisness... 1 staff member left us waiting 20 mins as he claimed he was new .. an didn't no about machines 2 nd staff member refused a refund for there machine whumich didn't work to a 7 year old boy with adhd behaviour bless him
A real shame cos it's ment to be a happy place we didn't feel welcome after just handing over 169 pounds for season pass

Very expensive for a small aquarium. The monkeys lacked enrichment and real plants and many of the aquariums felt too small for the animals they house. Seemed to be run for profit only. Disappointing.

A great day out for all ages. My toddlers particularly loved it, although we weren't there very long. It's a small venue woth lots crammed in, however there's not too many interactions for small people so they see one tank and move on to the next. An hour visit was sufficient but worth it

Visited today with my son who has asd & adhd, what a fab experience it was. The staff were SO lovely and they even let him feed the seahorses his favourite animal, made his visit so much more special. He was so so happy and can’t wait to come back ☺️🐠🪼🐟

Great little day out. It's not a huge place and doesn't need alot of time to walk around but, we saw everything, including the seal show and we loved it.
Parking does require a ticket but £3 for all day is very reasonable.

Visited here a couple of weeks ago with my partner as part of our anniversary, as we both love sea creatures and thought we'd make a day of it. This is the second time we've visited, but this time we were here longer as we stayed for the informational talks about the river giants and the seals. Both talks were very informative, and the staff stuck around after to answer any questions we had. I really recommend visiting, and it's definitely worth the price.

Really interesting to see. Was there in time for feeding of the seals. Nice to know the little hospital there for injured seals. Nice day out for family

It's good, feel like it's pretty dim inside when walking through (not sure if it has to be that way for a reason) but otherwise everything is great especially for children.

Great selection of fish to see, however the staff at front don't seem the most transparent. they charged me my daughter to go in when she was under 3, but they didn't even mention it and I only found out this was the case on the way out, as the price board wasn't the most visible.

We visit a lot of aquaria as my youngest loves the experience so this was a real find. Only a small aquarium but very well organised and the staff were very friendly and willing to share their expertise. We attended 3 of the talks sessions which were all interesting and the boys were real interested in the well-presented and informative exhibits. Loved the floating magnifiers and the seal hospital! We’ll be back!

Very expensive for what it is. No interactive stuff for children. Small and can be completed within the hour unless you want to keep going around numerous times. Extremely disappointing.

Didn't use the cafe as great pub next door !!

Small aquarium but perfect for what we need. I signed up to the annual pass when my son was 6 mo ths old - it's a great place to head on cold/windy days. We went at least once a month, so worth the annual pass price otherwise a day visit is on the pricier side for the size of the aquarium.
